Joyce Lowry, MSW, ACSW, LCSW, LMFT, is a family psychotherapist, owner of Providence Guidance Center, and provides a variety of family-court-referred services, such as the Two House Family Program, Children of Divorce, parenting classes, supervised visitation and reunification counseling, substance abuse assessments, adoption home studies, and custody/parenting time evaluations. In addition, she provides preventative divorce programs, such as Before I Say I Do and Fireproof Your Marriage. She is a registered mediator, parent coordinator, and Guardian Ad Litem. She received training through Association Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC). Joyce also received both her BSW and MSW degrees from Indiana University in 1980 and 1982 respectively. She was trained as a mediator in 1997 and has been involved in mediation training with ICLEF.
Paula Chavkin, LCSW, LMFT, RPT-S, is a licensed clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, and a registered play-therapist supervisor. She has over 29 years of experience counseling individual adults, children, adolescents, and families. She has worked in a variety of settings, including an inpatient adolescent chemical dependency unit, an outpatient mental health center, a family service agency, and a managed care company. She has been in private practice on the south side of Indianapolis since 1992 and enjoys working with a variety of mental health issues in adults and children. Her years of training in play therapy have earned her the Registered Play Therapist Supervisor credential, granted by the American Association for Play Therapy. Paula has extensive experience counseling families undergoing a divorce, assisting divorced parents in co-parenting their children, and helping children adjust to divorce.
Dr. Jeff Davis – received his doctorate in 1976. For the first 13 years of his professional career, he was a staff psychologist at Gallahue Mental Health Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, a division of Community Hospitals, Inc. During the last 7 years of employment there, he ran the Employee Assistance Program developed by Community and sold to several other companies. In his last 3 years, he also managed Gallahue’s north outpatient office. In 1998, he left Gallahue and joined several other psychologists at Professional Psychological Services, an association which he continues to this day. His private practice also included organizational consulting through two companies, Carver Governance Design and Bailey Associates. He helped organizations implement quality control principles, from line management to board policies.
In 1997, he returned to the world of community mental health, this time with Behavior Corp, serving the north side of Marion County, as well as Boone and Hamilton counties. In 1998, he was appointed the manager of the outpatient services, a position he continued when Behavior Corp merged with the Center for Mental Health in Madison County and held this position until his retirement from community mental health in 2011.
Since his retirement, he continues a part-time private practice at Professional Psychological Services. In recent years, he has served on the boards of the Indiana Psychological Association and Hamilton County Corrections. He specializes in individual and couples counseling, he has done several custody/parenting evaluations, and he is certified as a therapist for the Indiana Sex Offenders Monitoring and Management Program.
